When we were in Bolivia, we loved the use of cable cars as a mode of transportation. Not only are they efficient and inexpensive, but they provide wonderful views of the city. Especially in La Paz, which is a city built into the sides of the Andes mountains, it makes sense since there is no way to build an underground subway system there. So, for this week’s Cee’s Which Way Photo Challenge, we decided to share a few more photos of the cable cars in La Paz.
Love the pics! How far do the cable cars travel?
There are 3 lines and each line has at least 2 stops. They traverse the entire length of the city, which is about 20 miles.
Great photos. I love a cable car anywhere but it looks incredible in Bolivia. La Paz looks an incredibly busy city though. We’re looking into a South America stage to our trip so may have to investigate Bolivia now.

Very nice. I with my family once used one, but that was more for a fun-ride, in a Zoo garden in another state called Orissa in India. But it was very enjoying ! The pictures give a thrill.
It is definitely an interesting way to travel across a large city ☺
