Climbing to Greater Heights

We’ve walked our fair share of stairs and climbed a few ladders over the years, but they typically lead to something interesting. It is fairly common to elevate those things that deserve to be seen from great distances and it is just as common to have a lot of stairs to get there. For this week’s Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Stairs, Steps, Ladders we decided that this photo taken at Mesa Verde in southern Colorado was our favorite. It is hard to believe that the ancient Pueblo citizens used to climb these ladders just to get to their homes that are carved into the cliffs of the hills.

  1. It is an amazing feat that you were able to climb that blue ladder to the house in the cliff. My vertigo would have gotten the better of me. I got dizzy looking at the pic. BTW, that photo is pretty darn amazing!
